About Steve

Hi, I’m Steve, owner of Venetian Plaster Service. I have more than 20 years’ experience of standard plastering under my belt. I’m always looking for ways to improve my skills, so I challenged myself to learn the fine art of Italian Venetian decorative plastering. I completed a Masters Certification in Venetian Plastering in 2019.

This exercise ended up with me studying a whole range of materials and new techniques, such as Travertine marble plaster, Tadelakt plaster and decorative paint techniques. From learning how to apply the materials correctly, I realised I could complete bathrooms in Tadelakt plaster, the same material used in Roman bathhouses. As I gained expertise in applying different materials, I saw I could offer my customers not just one, but a whole range of high-end luxury finishes in their homes – whether that was a natural, stone-look seamless surface in a bathroom, or simply a lovely feature wall. Our luxury bathroom service was born.

As time went on it become apparent there was yet more to learn! I came across a material called microcement and I threw myself in, becoming an approved installer for the UK’s leading microcement material. This surface is extremely versatile and can be used to make a huge array of surfaces: kitchen worktops, outside BBQ kitchens, luxury bathrooms, steam rooms, bathroom sinks, and even baths. Whatever your project demands, Venetian Plaster Service has the knowledge, skills and expertise to realise it.

Working with us

1.Initial meeting

Do you have a home or property that needs a luxury finish? Call our helpful staff to arrange a meeting to discuss your upcoming project. We’ll listen to your ideas and/or make suggestions to help you design the perfect look for you or your client. We know budgets are important on any project, regardless of size, so we will always try to work respectfully within yours. All we ask is that your job is a minimum of 20 sq m.

2.Follow-up meeting or site visit

At a time convenient to you, we’ll arrange a follow-up meeting or site visit. We take detailed measurements and any other relevant information to help us prepare your quote.

 

3.Estimate and samples

We prepare your bespoke costing, along with up to three free handcrafted samples of your chosen finish, which we will post to you for approval.

4.Confirm installation dates

Once you have approved your sample(s), we work with you or your team to agree timescale and installation dates for your chosen service(s). The final step is for both parties to sign contracts to agree the works and installation timeline.
